Charlie was born 1858 in Whitby, Yorkshire, the son of James Turner McMahon and Mary Jane Headlam. On the registration of James & Mary’s marriage their surname is McMahon:-

Marriages Jun 1855
HEADLAM  Mary Jane    Whitby  9d 619
MCMAHON  James Turner     Whitby  9d 619

By the time their son Charles was born they had changed the spelling to Mickman. That is the spelling they used in all the census and further registrations.

Births Sep 1858
Mickman  Charles    Whitby  9d 361

Deaths Dec 1901
Mickman  James Turner  72  Easington  10a 273

Deaths Mar 1882
MICKMAN  Mary Jane  50  Easington  10a 223

Charlie had at least four siblings – Frederick 1860; Louise 1865; Emily Ann 1869 & Harry Headlam 1873.

Charlie married Annie Eliza Hooper in 1885, Annie was a widow with two young daughters so Hooper may not have been her maiden name.

Marriages Mar 1885
Hooper  Annie Eliza     Camberwell  1d 838
Mickman  Charles Headlam     Camberwell  1d 838

As far as I can see Charlie & Annie only had the one daughter, Alice Louisa S who was born in 1896 and married in 1919:-

Births Sep 1886
Mickman  Alice Louisa S    Camberwell  1d 932

Marriages Dec 1919
Riach  Francis  Mickman  St. Geo. H. Sq.  1a 1394

Finally, I found this little snippet on James during my Google searches:-

Hannah also married (3) James Turner Mickman, son of Thomas Mickman, on 6 Dec 1883 in St. Thomas, Bishopwearmouth, Sunderland, County Durham. James was born about 1829 in Bradford, Yorkshire. He died 1st Dec 1901 in Station Street, Haswell, Easington, County Durham.

NOTE: James first marriage he was recorded as James Turner McMahon.
Master Shoemaker employing 3 men and 2 boys residing at Flowergate, Whitby in 1861 - with them was Mary Jane's brothers John Headlam a jet worker and William Headlam a Bootmaker.
In 1881 James was a Storekeeper (engine work) residing at Seaham Harbour.
An Innkeeper residing at 7 Coronation Street, Bishopwearmouth at his marriage in 1883.
In 1891 James was a Bootmaker (employer) residing at Haswell Lane, Haswell, Co. Durham. He had left his wife Hannah Jane and was living “over the brush" with Sophia, 2 children from his 1st marriage and Alice from Sophia.
